Casper Mountain Ski Lodge and Beartrap Meadow Shelters

About this Project

The Natrona County Road, Bridge, and Parks Department hired AGS in June of 2021 for two phases on Casper Mountain for the proposed new Nordic Ski Lodge and Beartrap Meadow Shelters. The previous Nordic Ski Lodge was demolished last November after structural problems rendered the site unusable. One of the Beartrap Meadow shelters was also demolished due to age and normal deterioration of the structure. In July and August, we explored the shelter locations and new lodge locations. The new lodge location was found to have compressible and moderately expansive soils. Geotechnical engineering will be provided for this structure through the design and construction phases.
