Advanced Geotechnical Solutions (AGS) provided Geotechnical Engineering to an 11-lot subdivision in Glenrock for client WLC Engineering and Surveying. This project was complicated by the very likely possibility that abandoned mine voids were present below the site. Advanced Geotechnical Solutions worked closely with WLC and the Wyoming DEQ Abandoned Mine Lands division to provide safe and cost-effective solutions for the 11 lots in two groups. After a series of geotechnical lab tests, AGS was able to recommend safe and cost-effective solutions instead of recommendations based on the worst case scenario. These recommendations help to make the development more attractive to the eventual lot owners increasing the value to the developer.
